The Christian Chamber is excited to announce our new group
"Women of Means".
The group will start in Ft. Myers on the Second and forth Wednesday of the month in South Ft. Myers. It is open to members and non-members. It will be held at AmericInn 13600 Treeline Ave South. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd from 8:30-9:30. $5 for members $8 for non-member. All donations received will be distributed to local Charities.

Creative Media Institute Open House The Creative Media Institute of Southwest Florida (CMI) is hosting an Open House for area pastors, community and business leaders on Monday, September 13th from 7-8:30pm at the studios of WRXY-TV in Punta Gorda. CMI is the first of its kind in Southwest Florida, offering training in basic video production techniques in a one-week night-school format, followed by an all day Saturday session. The WRXY-TV studios are located at 40000 Horseshoe Road in Punta Gorda. Members of the media and those attending the open house are asked to RSVP at 239-543-7200 before Friday, September 10th.

FREE Pain Clinic Southwest Florida Pain Clinic will be held on Tuesdays, beginning September 21st, from 6pm-9pm at Fort Myers First Church of the Nazarene (13545 American Colony Blvd.). This clinic is for patients with acute and chronic pain will open September 21st. It is sponsored by Christian Health Ministries, an organization of volunteer physicians and licensed health care providers, and Fort Myers First Church of the Nazarene. It will operate under the Florida Volunteer Health Services Program and may be the first free clinic of its kind in Florida. Patients to be treated include those with neck and back pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, foot and ankle pain, and joint pain/injuries. Services will include comprehensive Medical treatment, Chiropractic, Podiatry, Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy, Counseling, Prayers and Nutrition/Lifestyle Education. Patients must meet eligibility requirements established by the state of Florida and be at or below the 150% of the federal poverty level. Patients will be screened on arrival. Care will be on a first come basis. Dr. Gruning stresses that no prescriptions for controlled substances, such as narcotics, will be given at the clinic. Instead, comprehensive treatment will be directed at eliminating the source of pain and helping patients get off of medications.
