James Sweeney, a Director in Global Strategy research for Credit Suisse in New York City, will be the guest speaker on Thursday, April 23rd at the Royal Palm Yacht Club. James is a senior researcher for Credit Suisse and frequently travels internationally to present his views. His research team has a large following and has been ranked highly by industry publications. His Market Focus reports are read by leading fund managers, and recent work has focused on the nature of the current economic and financial crisis from an historical perspective. James has degrees from the London School of Economics (MSc Economics) and Florida State (BS Economics and Political Science with Phi Beta Kappa honors). He is a member of the American Economic Association, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and the Royal Institute for International Affairs. James has proposed to speak on Florida's economy and its connectedness in the world economy.
